Welcome to Joyous Hearts Academy (“we,” “us,” “our”). By accessing or using this website, creating an account, enrolling in a course, or purchasing any Academy package, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
1. Purpose of Joyous Hearts Academy
Joyous Hearts Academy provides online educational training for individuals pursuing the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)® credential. Our services may include:
- Access to a 40-hour RBT training course (hosted by the Autism Partnership Foundation)
- Study modules, quizzes, and supplemental learning materials
- Access to a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) for competency exam sign-off (for eligible packages)
- Optional job placement assistance through Joyous Hearts Recruiting or affiliate organizations
Important: Joyous Hearts Academy is not a licensing board, employer, or certifying body. Completing our training does not guarantee RBT certification, employment, or state approval.
2. Eligibility
To enroll, you must be at least 18 years old and provide accurate information when creating an account.
3. Payments & Refund Policy
Payments are completed through approved external methods (e.g., Stripe payment link, Zelle, Apple Pay, etc.). Because access may be granted immediately after enrollment, all sales are final and non-refundable.
We can help troubleshoot technical issues, but refunds are not provided for change of mind, failure to complete the course, scheduling conflicts, inability to pass exams, or inability to meet BACB requirements.
4. Course Access
Students receive access to training materials once enrolled. Joyous Hearts Academy may update or improve content at any time. Access may be revoked if a user shares logins, copies/distributes content, misuses the platform, or violates these Terms.
5. Intellectual Property
Our website content, branding, and supplemental modules are protected by copyright. You may not reproduce, resell, distribute, record, or upload restricted content.
The Autism Partnership Foundation (APF) retains ownership of its training content. We do not claim ownership of APF materials.
6. BCBA Competency Exam Support
Packages that include BCBA access may provide scheduled prep/Q&A and competency assessment support. Availability depends on scheduling and student readiness. Passing competency does not guarantee certification or employment.
7. Job Placement Assistance
Job placement assistance (if offered) is optional and not guaranteed. Employment decisions are made solely by employers.
8. Student Conduct
Students agree to communicate respectfully, complete coursework honestly, and avoid plagiarism or cheating. Violations may result in removal with no refund.
9. Technology Requirements
Students are responsible for stable internet and a compatible device/browser. We are not responsible for outages or user device issues.
10. Privacy
By enrolling, you consent to the collection and storage of information for account creation, course progress, certificates, and administrative communication. We do not sell your data.
11. Limitation of Liability
Joyous Hearts Academy is not liable for certification outcomes, employment decisions, delays, user errors, or misuse of content. Participation is voluntary and students are responsible for meeting BACB® requirements.
12. Updates to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the website means you accept the updated Terms.
